A Change of Scenery

As Marcos stared out yonder his vision wasn’t impeded, so the view was magnificent. Peacefulness struck him as rather pleasant. The horizon on the edge of the ocean and crystal blue sky sent chills down his spine. He’d been living in the city for far too long to appreciate such calmness.

This wasn’t just an ordinary day in his life. He had become aware of the tight spot he was in. Without any further ado he felt enlightened enough to sit down in a meditation pose and suck in nature at its finest. His contentment for what hadn’t been previously envisaged was a wake-up call for what stimulated his very existence.

Alone he sat there breathing pure fresh air to his lungs content, gratified God had answered his prayers. He was finally living a moment in silence from manmade atrocities, but fully alert to the sounds of the sea, the breeze, the birds, and his own mind and spirit wishing for harmony throughout the world.

His tiredness of all the hate exposed by terrorist organizations such as Al-Qaeda, ISIS, Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, and the Iranian regime, especially in the Middle East and their hate for Israel and the Jews still haunted him, but he had to shed his anguish, and stay strong knowing there are millions of Pro-Palestinian supporters who are either completely ignorant or are anti-Semitic!

During his ordinary life he spent much time trying to spread the word in hope that those opposed to Israel’s stance over October 7th would come to terms with why Israel is fighting back to save their people from future hostilities.

This fine moment in time gave him a chance to appreciate all the good around him, and switch off from other peoples’ suffering, thinking of himself while wondering if he would be discovered!

Take care!

Prof. Carl Boniface
