Approaching my 500th blog encouraged me to take a look at my analytics. I noticed on LinkedIn that there were 228 views yesterday. However, very few, if any likes coming from this source. It made me wonder if anyone actually enjoys reading my blogs!
Writing mainly shortish blogs has been my inspiration to help English learners wishing to practice reading the English language while picking up grammar and increasing vocabulary. I’m certain someone is benefitting. All in all, I’m satisfied even if readers don’t show their appreciation.
When I took on the project to write weekday blogs, the idea was to facilitate my students during online classes. They were made to induce conversation, get pupils to discuss different areas within the context of their lives to build rapport and air their views. I’ve had no complaints, and to the contrary they all continue having classes – so I must be doing something right!
Actually, I’m very happy that the number of readers has increased. Someone out there has been able to use my blogs to help. A couple of hours a week reading them will improve word count which eventually will facilitate conversation. At the end of the day consistency is the key to growth!
Thank you so much to all my students and readers of the blog who are fulfilling me and giving me the edge to continue writing.
Have a great day!
Prof. Carl Boniface
