Do (does) (present) Did (past) with pronouns, verbs, and nouns. Today's lesson teaches you how to construct simple basic sentences.
Pronouns: I, You, We, They DO --- He, She, It DOES
Here are some principal (main) verbs: watch, read, eat, play, drink

Verbs are action words
Nouns can be names and physical things like books, television, water, tennis, and pizza. Nouns are also countries and places like England, the USA, Brazil, or London, New York, or Rio de Janeiro. By the way, tennis is a game.

Different to most other languages, in English we use the auxiliary verb DO to compliment the MAIN VERB. For example, we use DO to ask questions.
Do you read books? No, I don't read books.
Do you watch TV? Yes, I watch television.
Do you drink water? ____, _________________________
Do you play tennis? ____, _________________________
Do you eat pizza? No, ____________________________ You can't be serious!
Do you walk a lot ? No, _______________________________ andar/bastante
Do you swim? ____, __________________________ nadar
Do you drive? ____, __________________________ dirigir
Do you work? ____, __________________________ trabalhar

Now it is your turn. Give honest answers. For example, if someone asks me if I brush my teeth, I will answer; yes, I brush my teeth in the morning, and before I go ir to bed.
Do you like steak and chips? ________________________________________________
Do you drink coffee in the morning? _________________________________________
Do you take cold showers? _________________________________________________
______________________________________ Yes, I work on my computer.
Do you brush your teeth every day? __________________________________________
_____________________________________ No, I don't eat salad for breakfast.
Do you like chicken (frango)? ________________________________
In the case of Third (3rd) person i.e., He, She, or It, do becomes does. In the following examples, what is one of the question words. These six (6) are also known as interrogative words: what o que, where onde, when quando, why por que, who quem, how como.
What does Jessica drink? Jessica drinks Coca cola.
Where does she live? She lives in Bela Cintra.
Does Jessica live in Barra Funda? No, Jessica doesn't live in Barra Funda.

Now it is your turn.
When does your partner (wife/husband) have her/his breakfast? ___________________________________________________
What does your partner like to drink? __________________________________ (beer)
Does your son play football? _____________________________________
______________________________________ John eats croissants with orange joice for breakfast.
What does she like to do in her spare (extra) time? _____________________________

_____________________________________ He drinks black coffee with milk.
Remember, sentences are formed by combining words in the format to ask question, or as the way to make positive or negative statements.
Have fun!
