In English we use the auxiliary verb do to ask questions like; Do you like pizza?
Auxiliary verbs reinforce verbs like like ok
Or if we respond negatively; No, I do not (don't) like pizza. Be real, right! Who doesn't like pizza? Hahaha....

Does is used in 3rd person, so he, she, or it does instead of do.
Alternatively the verb to be is used to describe someone or something, or the condition of something.

The “to be” is a verb used to describe something or someone.
