BYD (Bǐyàdí Qìchē) was founded in 1995 by Wang Chuanfu as a battery manufacturer in Shenzhen, China. The company has since become a leading global car manufacturer and a major producer of electric vehicles.

The BYD Song Plus is available in multiple grades, including AWD and FWD.

In 2023, it was the brand's best-selling car in the country. The BYD Song Plus 1.5 DM-i PHEV E-CVT (automatic) 2025 has a suggested price of R$ 239,800.00
