Timing is essential for your meal plan. Whether you opt for three meals a day or more, a well-distributed consumption table is the way to go.
Here are a few options:
6am, 12pm, 6pm
8am, 12pm, 4pm
Having food at regular intervals allows you to eat a healthy balanced diet while allowing sufficient time to digest between meals.
Take example one, and notice there is a twelve hour window for eating. In the second example there is an eight hour window. If you stick to option two then from your last meal till your first there is a sixteen hour window which enables your body's enzymes the opportunity to help your body work better. This method is called intermittent fasting.
Intermittent fasting, which involves fasting for 16 hours and eating during an 8-hour window, may have several health benefits. These include:
Weight loss: Fasting can help you lose weight and fat
Improved heart health: Fasting can improve blood pressure, resting heart rate, and other heart-related measurements
Improved brain health: Fasting can protect memory and learning, and slow disease processes in the brain
Improved blood sugar control: Fasting can help lower blood sugar
Reduced risk of disease: Fasting may reduce the risk of some diseases
Reduced inflammation: Fasting may help manage or prevent chronic inflammation
Eating a balanced diet will promote energy all through the day. Opting for the intermittent plan will help lose weight and tighten your body up whilst adding longevity.
Take care!
