The world's lushest man, Elon Musk, seems to be willing to get into the football business and target European giant.
Can you imagine Elon Musk as a football guru? It might seem unlikely, but the billionaire, voted the richest man in the world, said he is close to investing in the hobby. And he’s already thinking big, a European giant.
On Twitter, Elon Musk commented that he's buying Manchester United one of the most traditional teams on the planet.
Apparently, the news made the red devils fans happy. After all, part of it is angry with the Glazer family, who have run the club for years. The Glazer-backed attempted to sign United up to the controversial European Super League project in 2021 which triggered mass protests outside Old Trafford, leading to a postponement of a Premier League tie with Liverpool as fans signaled that a final straw had been broken. There were even Brazilian fans there with banners chanting, out!
The South African, who is the CEO of Tesla and worth over $200bn, has recently joked and then shut down rumors that he could buy the Premier League club. Despite Elon Musk's Twitter comments, there is the possibility that the information is just to draw attention, something common in the billionaire's career. Musk often says untrue things on social media. Now, what's left is waiting to know if this story is true, or a lie.
Although Musk has the finances to buy the club, you have to ask if he is really interested? Now though he has claimed in a new comment: "This is a long-running joke on Twitter. I’m not buying any sports teams."

Straw is dry grass used to put into bundles of hay.
