Police Officer Trial

Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan had already condemned firearms police officer Martin Blake for fatally shooting Chris Kaba, a member of a dangerous London gang in 2022. When confronted recently after the trial verdict by a commission he had no remorse.

Mobster is depicted as innocent father and construction builder. Kaba’s family called for accountability in a statement, saying, “We are worried that if Chris had not been Black, he would have been arrested on that Monday evening and not had his life cut short.”

However, he was a member of the notorious 67 gang, a dangerous gang in London who distribute drugs.

Martin Blake, the policeman who killed Chris has spent the last two years threatened by the black community and supporters who have jumped to the conclusion of his guilt. Apparently, he is hiding for fear of his life.

However, the London police officer who fatally shot him two years ago has been acquitted of murder. Martin Blake, a 40-year-old marksman with the Metropolitan Police, was cleared by a London jury on Monday in the death of Chris Kaba.

Blake shot Kaba, 24, on September 5, 2022 on a narrow residential street in the Streatham Hill neighbourhood in south London. Although Kaba was unarmed and driving an Audi, the police believed it was linked to a shooting the previous day, which they were forced to stop.

He had tried to drive away while boxed in by police vehicles when Blake fired a single round through the Audi’s windshield after Kaba began ramming the police cars in an attempt to escape. However, prosecutor Tom Little told jurors at the start of the trial that Blake’s decision to shoot Kaba “was not reasonably justified or justifiable”.

Blake said he had thought there was an “imminent threat” to his colleagues if he had not shot Kaba. He gave evidence that he intended to incapacitate Kaba but not kill him. “My whole intention was to stop that vehicle, which I thought was about to run my colleagues over,” Blake said.

Blake had been suspended from duty following anger from Black communities until the trial. Jurors in London’s Central Criminal Court deliberated for about three hours before finding Blake not guilty. Blake then let out a sigh of relief as the verdict was read. Kaba’s family, seated in the courtroom, showed no visible reaction.

“We recognise that firearms officers operate under enormous pressure, but it is our responsibility to put cases before a jury that meet our test for prosecution, and we are satisfied that test was met in this case,” Frank Ferguson, head of the Crown Prosecution Service Special Crime and Counter Terrorism Division said.

Following Kaba’s killing in September 2022, anti-racism protesters took to the streets of London demanding justice. Kaba’s family even called for accountability in a statement, saying, “We are worried that if Chris had not been Black, he would have been arrested on Monday evening and not had his life cut short.” Black life matters experts!!! All baseless hearsay!!!

One woman said, “It is both fascinating and terrifying (more terrifying) that this country has all the time for a woman who lived a full life of 96 years and whose power and wealth come from privilege, racism and colonialism, but doesn’t give a damn about a 24-year-old whose life was ripped away from him by the very people who should uphold the law. As I said, this country doesn’t give a damn about Black lives.”

The woman mentioned that the Queen’s power and wealth come from racism which is a ridiculous thing to say, as slavery was abolished in the United Kingdom and British Empire on August 1, 1834, following the passage of the Slavery Abolition Act of 1833, so it is upsetting to see how she uses the blame game to fuel her obsession and compares, in my opinion, a great woman who served the nation with dignity.

The truth is difficult to pinpoint, and clearly people form opinions based on limited information available. Regarding the Queen, I find it preposterous she compares a criminal to the life of a monarch.

Take care!
