Understanding the Mind

First of all, let’s make it clear! There is no way to understand the mind completely. Neuroscientists study the mind! And in today’s blog we are going to touch on the subject.

A podcast was carried out by Lewis Howes three months ago with Dr. Doty, a neuroscientist who gives some of his wisdom regarding manifestation and the law of attraction (see video below). These are not new discoveries, but are valid points of interest for those wishing to improve their understanding of the mind, and how they can begin to make the most of studying it. Before though what does a neuroscientist do:

Neuroscientists are medical scientists who study the nervous system, which includes the brain, spinal cord, and nerve cells. They study the structure, function, development, and operation of the nervous system, and how it affects behavior and cognitive functions. They also study how the nervous system is affected by neurological, psychiatric, and neurodevelopmental disorders.

According to Dr. Doty, overcoming baggage from childhood is difficult. First the person affected has to want to change. Often, they become alcoholic because they need relief. They don’t understand it, and if you try to help them, they are likely to push you away. This condition has manifested from something that happened in the past. What happens as a child can cause a belief that affects future outcomes.

Manifestation then is the act of making something happen by imagining it and consciously thinking that it will happen: Manifesting is based on the idea that you can think your dreams into reality. Personally, I think this might help make you focused on an objective like becoming a bodybuilder, but it doesn’t matter how much you think about it, as you have to change your diet, take enhancement drugs, and workout pushing your body rigorously. The same goes at work, if you think it you have to take action to stand any chance of reaching your goal.

The law of attraction is a philosophy that suggests that positive thoughts and actions lead to positive outcomes, while negative thoughts and actions lead to negative outcomes. It's based on the idea that people are made of energy that operates at different frequencies, and that similar things are attracted to one another. The law of attraction also suggests that removing negative things from your life can make space for more positive things.

This theory reminds me of deep breathing which helps you get in touch with your inner spirit while slowing down blood pressure that allows for spiritual activation, a stronger connection to your vibrational tract, and subsequently more ability to tap into manifestation and the law of attraction.

Take care!
